ICCTE Newsletter – Winter 2025
Community news highlighting ICCTE conferences, journal reviewers, awards, and registration timelines.

Dear Friends at ICCTE,
As Christmas approaches, this year winds down, and a new one is on the horizon.
Conference News:
At ICCTE, we have experienced a wonderful 2024 Conference at Gordon College, and are now anticipating our 2026 conference at Point Loma University in San Diego, CA, in May. In anticipation of this upcoming conference, I urge you to visit the ICCTE conference website to enter and complete this link for registration. The Regular Registration Fee will apply from November 19, 2025, to February 24, 2026. To attend the 2026 ICCTE Conference and take advantage of the Regular Registration Fee, you must fill out the online registration form and pay the registration fee by February 24, 2026. Follow this link: https://coda.io/d/2026-ICCTE-Conference_dQd-59doxIm/Registration_susLwr_i#_luqNFLpY%20.
Proposals for the conference presentations are due by January 15th, and responses to proposals will be sent to each participant within 2 weeks. We encourage all ICCTE members to consider having at least one member present from their institution at this conference. You will not be disappointed! The planning for this conference proves to be very exciting! And the views from Point Loma University are breathtakingly beautiful.
Journal News:
Sean Schat, our Journal editor, has just posted the latest ICCTE journal. We are in need of reviewers for our manuscripts. Interested parties may send their CV and record of other review experience to sschat@redeemer.ca. If you have formerly done reviews for us, and are now interested in doing so again, also advise us at this email. If you have work to publish, please send this to us. The next publication date is January 30th. We appreciate your interest, and many minds make light work! Contact Sean and volunteer your services if reviewing is of interest to you. And Sean, you can count me in to review as well!
Award Interests:
Today, I received the first nomination for the Harro Van Brummelen (HVB) award. If you would like to encourage a new scholar at your institution to apply for this award, please send me their information by next week to cbelcher@redeemer.ca. Criteria may be found at the ICCTE website here. We would love to have some candidates to consider for the upcoming conference. These candidates will be notified after our January meeting, when one nominated party will be chosen by the board to be the HVB award presenter for 2026. The requirements for the HVB award are in the link (https://www.iccte.org/copy-of-about-1?utm_campaign=8d49baf6-a9fc-48ad-aec7-20e0b0741798&utm_source=so&utm_medium=mail&cid=a6fc3ea9-62d2-4f9c-af8c-c629bab851fd), and so are the specifics for benefits toward attendance for a new scholar who is chosen to present his/her work at the 2026 conference.
In closing, I wish you all God’s grace, peace, and hope as you rest in Him. Despite the troubles in the world, we are so blessed.
In anticipation until we meet again, and with God’s blessing,
Christina Belcher
ICCTE President: 2024-2026
